When men talk about desirable women, they often speak in terms of numbers–specifically, how many more of those women they would like to have. “She was so hot, the only way she could’ve been better was if there’d been two of her,” is something I’ve heard from many a straight male, in both real life and the media.
With this in mind, I asked the Boyfriend, “In your ideal world, how many of me would you want to have? Two? Three?… Five?” I gave him my best cute-small-animal-girlfriend look, hoping that his ideal quantity would not exceed the last number.
“Point eight,” he responded without hesitation or humor.
This conversation happened about a year ago. I don’t know if his outlook has changed, but I’ve discovered since that I don’t care so much for numbers.
