Planned Parenthood’s List of Recommended Vaccines

While waiting for my HPV vaccine yesterday, I checked out a pamphlet detailing a list of vaccines I should get and what they entail.  I don’t know what half the stuff means, but here it is:

1. tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis: substitute Tdap for Td booster the first time, then boost with Td every 10 years

2. HPV: 3 doses, recommended for ages 9-26

3. varicella: 2 doses

4. MMR: 1 or 2 doses

5. pneumococcal (polysaccharide): 1 or 2 doses

6. hepatitis A: 2 doses

7. hepatitis B: 3 doses

8. meningococcal: 1 or more doses

9. zoster: 1 dose, recommended for ages 65 and up
